When I Say ‘I Love You’
When I say “I love you,” I mean more
Than three small words spoken before.
I mean I choose you every day,
Through calm and storm, come what may.
It means I’ll lift you when you fall,
Answer your voice through every call.
I’ll be your light when shadows grow,
And let my actions always show.
It means I see you, soul and flaw,
And love you more than I first saw.
Not just the good, the joy, the gleam—
But every part, each shattered dream.
It’s in the meals, the waiting nights,
The shared small talks, the quiet fights.
It’s in forgiveness, second tries,
In patient truths and softened cries.
So when I say “I love you,” hear
The weight, the promise, drawing near.
It’s not a line, not something due—
It’s everything I give to you.
