The Progressive Nationalist Party (PNP) staged a human chain to demand a re-investigation of the Pilkhana killings, trial of the conspirators under martial law and declaration of a national day of mourning on February 25.

PNP Chairman Feroze Mohammad Liton presided over the human chain held on Wednesday in front of the National Press Club.

He said that the Bangladesh Army has earned the honor of standing tall in the world court by performing its duties with honesty and devotion in various countries including the United Nations Mission, so the anti-sovereignty have indulged in a planned murder conspiracy and have committed abominable incidents like the Pilkhana massacre on February 25.

He said that 57 patriotic army officers were killed in a well-planned manner in the name of BDR rebellion to make Bangladesh a powerless state. Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Barrister Fazle Noor Tapas, Mirza Azam, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, former Home Minister Sahara Khatun, senior leaders of Awami League were involved in the anti-national international conspiracy.

Feroz Mohammad Liton said, the book written by the famous writer of India, Avinash Paliyol, is clearly written in the book New Journey, and the article of Netra News is also written that the murder conspiracy is planned. And that's why General Shakil did not get any help even though he screamed at himself and accepted the death. Therefore, we, as our party, call upon the present government to re-investigate the killings and bring trial under martial law and declare February 25 as a day of national mourning.
