Pakistan did not let him see his dead mother

Adnan Sami, a popular singer, was born in Pakistan but

musical success was mainly in India.

Sami made this statement on a show called Aap Ki Adalat. Sami's mother, who lived in Pakistan, died in 2024. At that time, India allowed him to go to his mother's funeral, but Pakistan refused his visa. Sami made this statement on that show.


He said, "I applied for a visa, but they (Pakistan) rejected it. I said my mother had died, but still they did not give me a visa. I could not go. I saw my mother's funeral on a WhatsApp video."


Sami further said that he did

not take Indian citizenship for money. He left behind property worth crores in Pakistan. He had to rebuild everything in India. He said that an artist needs love and it is because of this love that he came to India.
