When Eid comes, there is a rush for movie releases.

The movie market becomes bustling. Theaters remain empty all year round. Due to the lack of new movies, the number of theaters is decreasing day by day and is now around sixty. Yet, no one seems to have a headache about releasing new movies. Only when Eid comes, seasonal directors and producers appear with their movies.

This Eid too, 12 movies were added to the release list. But due to various reasons including theater shortages, booking agent troubles and business considerations, many seasonal movie businessmen finally backed out of the Eid market. So far, seven movies have survived on the list. These are - 'Tandav', 'Tagore', 'Neelchakra', 'Sardarbarir Khela', 'Esha Murder: Karmaphal', 'Insaf' and 'Utsav'. Among them, two movies named 'Nadan' and 'Shironam' have been postponed.

Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on June 7.

So, last-minute preparations are underway. But there is no rush to promote several movies that announced that they will be coming on Eid by releasing posters. Those involved have disappeared after making the announcement. Although the movies 'Nadan' and 'Shironam' have confirmed that they are not coming on Eid, those involved in the movies 'Pinik', 'Ali' and 'Gowar'

are remaining silent.
