The Light You Are
You are the morning breaking slow,
A light that touches all I know.
You are the dusk that paints the skies,
The comfort seen in tired eyes.
You shine when all the lamps go dark,
You guide me like a constant spark.
Not loud or wild, but always there—
A light that softens every care.
You do not burn, you do not blind,
But glow with grace that’s hard to find.
You make the shadows less afraid,
And color bright what once was grayed.
If life grows cold, if days grow long,
Your warmth will keep my spirit strong.
I don’t need sun when you are near—
You are the light I hold most dear.
