Jumbangla Desk: One by one officials of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) are being insulted and beaten. It has been alleged that some employees of DNCC are doing these things in the name of Sramik Dal. 60 officials submitted a memorandum to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DNCC demanding punishment of the accused. The chief executive officer assured that those involved will be brought under the law.

Information Officer Piyal Hasan was dragged out of his room on the 8th floor of DNCC's Nagar Bhavan on August 25. He was beaten by Region-3 Revenue Supervisor Sheikh Shawkat Hussain and Waste Inspector Gaddafi.

After a few rounds of beatings, Payal was thrown out. Even though there is footage, no action has been taken against the accused till now.

Exactly one month after that, Assistant Secretary Zahid Hossain was assaulted in his room by 10 to 15 people including Shaukat and Mintu.

This DNCC official said, 'They want to know about a person's file. I don't know anything about that. At that time I was not even in the secretary department. They kept forcing me and behaving rudely.'

On the same day, three more officers were thrown out of the room by the accused. DNCC social welfare officer Gautam Kumar said, 'Their behavior was brutal. The assistant secretary was abused in unspeakable language. We have also been told to leave the room.'

DNCC security officer Ziaul Haque said, "Since the complaint has been made, we hope that the authorities will take proper legal action in this regard."

However, the accused denied all the allegations. Sheikh Shaukat Hossain, Revenue Supervisor of DNCC Region-3 said, 'The complaint is not correct, it is baseless. I don't know if there is a video of the incident or not.'
