He made this call during the meeting of Abdullah Ali Khasif Al-Hamudi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) assigned to Dhaka in his office at the Secretariat this afternoon.

During the meeting, development of mutual relations between the two countries, increase in export of manpower, security of the embassy area, technical cooperation in the e-visa sector and other issues of mutual interest were discussed.

Welcoming the ambassador at the beginning of the meeting, the adviser said that the United Arab Emirates was the first to recognize Bangladesh among the Gulf countries. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, bilateral relations between the two countries have reached a unique height through mutual cooperation. We want not only to continue this bilateral relationship, but to further it.

Meanwhile, the ambassador said that currently the largest number of remittances come to Bangladesh from the United Arab Emirates.

Calling Bangladeshi workers more skilled and professional, he said, Bangladeshis are working with great skill and reputation in various sectors including banking, engineering sector of United Arab Emirates.


When the ambassador inquired about the security of the embassy area, the advisor said that along with the regular security forces, battalion Ansar has been deployed there. When the ambassador told about the need for security personnel in the private sector of the United Arab Emirates, the adviser requested the appointment of battalion Ansar from Bangladesh in this sector. The advisor said that subject to consensus between the two countries, the agreement can be signed at the ministry level.

The Ambassador assured full cooperation from UAE for technical assistance in launching e-Visa in Bangladesh. The advisor welcomed it and said that further action will be taken soon.

Altaf Hossain, Economic Analyst of the UAE Embassy in Dhaka and Amir Hossain, Public Relations Officer of the Embassy, ​​and senior officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs were present in the meeting.

After leaving the country of Sheikh Hasina, remittances are expected to arrive in the country
