The hunger strike is going on in front of Faridpur District Commissioner's office from 5 pm on Saturday (October 5). Abrar Nadeem Itu, one of the leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement, said that the hunger strike will continue until the demands are met.

The hunger strikers complain that the rent fixed by the government is 370 taka but they are taking 400 taka. Besides, this fare doubles on special days including religious festivals. They demanded to stop these and take the rent fixed by the government.


They claim that at various times they collect more fare from the passengers by showing more kilometers than usual. It is unethical. It must be closed.

At that time, Abrar Nadeem Itu, one of the coordinators of Faridpur's anti-discrimination student movement, Sohail Rana, Kazi Riaz, Mehdi Hasan, Said Khan, Rafsan Himel, Sifat, Rifat, Adnan, Nirab, Imtiaz, Shanto and others were the leaders of anti-discrimination student movement.

When contacted in this regard, the manager of Golden Line Transport. Bachchu Mia said, we have come to know about the hunger strike. I can't give any decision on the matter for now. I will try to solve the matter by talking to the authorities.

Faridpur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Kamrul Hasan Molya said, "We will try to resolve the issue by talking to the hunger strikers soon.
