Schools and colleges will be closed for 9 days on the occasion of upcoming Autumn Durga Puja, Fateha e Yazdaham, Lakshmi Puja and Prabarana Purnima. However, the educational institution has a total of 11 consecutive days off including weekends. And there are 3 days of office-court leave.

According to the annual calendar of the Ministry of Education, the autumn Durga Puja holiday will begin on October 9. Which will continue till October 17 (Thursday). However, since the next two days are Friday and Saturday, the educational institution will open from October 20. Among them, Vijaya Dashami holiday is on October 13, Fateha e Yazdaham holiday is on October 15, Lakshmi Puja and Prabarana Purnima holiday is on October 16.

Meanwhile, the government employees will get three consecutive days off this month, including autumn Durga Puja and weekly holidays. Vijaya Dashami will be a public holiday on Sunday, October 13. Before that, Friday and Saturday are weekends. This holiday will be observed in all government and semi-government offices and autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions in the country.

However, the rules are slightly different for offices whose schedule and holidays are regulated by their own rules or for jobs that are government essential. In that case, all those offices, organizations and institutions will announce this holiday considering the public interest according to their own laws.
