The evacuation operation was started on Thursday morning and afternoon in Raipur City's New Bazar, Madhya Bazar, Muri Hata, Hyderganj Road and Main Road and North Temuhani area of ​​Sadar. Later, raids were conducted on footpaths along various roads including market main road, Bhakter Goli, Genji Hata, fish market, Goster market.

Deputy Director of Local Government and Municipal Administrator of Laxmipur Mohammad Rafiqul Haque and UNO and Municipal Administrator of Raipur Imran Khan led the Sadar campaign, along with army camp in-charge, student coordinators, journalist leaders, business leaders were present.

During two separate raids, District Merchants Association Leader Abul Kalam Azad, Municipal Secretary Alauddin and Abdul Qadir were present. Police of Raipur and Sadar Thana assisted law and order in the operation.

According to the two municipal authorities, various structures including raw markets have been constructed illegally by occupying roads and footpaths in various roads, lanes and markets of the municipal cities of Raipur and Sadar. The illegal occupiers did not comply with instructions to move out later. For this reason, those occupants were evicted by raiding. Warnings have also been issued to those who build these illegal structures and encroach on pavements.

A few businessmen who did not want to be named said that the municipal authorities have conducted an operation to clear the sidewalk encroachment. But shortly after the raid, occupation began again. They think that the public will continue to suffer.
