In this situation, it was thought that if Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar visits Pakistan, the complications will be resolved. After that, the country's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Home Minister and PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi discussed cricket with Jaishankar at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting. It is also reported that the resumption of cricket relations with Pakistan has been discussed.

However, this is not true, said Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, in a briefing on Thursday. He said this in response to a question from journalists at the weekly briefing.

Stating that the cricket news is not correct, Jaiswal said, 'Whether there was any discussion about cricket or not, I would say that nothing happened. The report you saw is not correct.'

After his words, concerns about India's participation in the Champions Trophy have increased. Because India last visited Pakistan in 2008. After that, the Indian cricket team never toured Pakistan citing security reasons. In the last Asia Cup too, India played their matches in Sri Lanka instead of Pakistan. This time too, India is walking on the same path.
