Jumbangla Desk: A tribal girl was raped by a Bengali youth in Baishari union of hilly Naikshyongchari upazila next to Cox's Bazar. The girl was raped while bathing in the canal.

This incident took place on Thursday (October 17) around 7 pm in Dhawankhali Canal of Chadu Aung Marma neighborhood of Ward No. 6 of the Union.

According to sources, the 15-year-old girl of Chaduang Marma neighborhood of Ward No. 6 of Baishari Union of Naikxyongchari Upazila went to bathe in the Dhabankhali canal.

At one stage of bathing in that canal, the son of Noor Mohammad of joint farm area of ​​Ward No. 9 of Baishari Union of Naikxyongchari Upazila. Salim (25) and his accomplice, Nurul Islam's son Matiur Rahman (26) of the same area gang-raped.
According to the complaint, when the local people came forward with the screams of the rapist, the rapist. Salim (25) escaped, but the other rapist Matiur Rahman (26) was caught by the mob and handed over to the Baishari police outpost. Later, the arrested Motiur Rahman was handed over to Naikshyongchari police station.

Meanwhile, the rapist. Salim (25) was arrested by the police on October 18.

The raped girl has been sent to the hospital for medical examination with the help of Naikshyongchari police. The case is pending.

It is known that the victim is a hillbilly girl with mental imbalance. Masrurul Haque told reporters that the victim and his family came to the police station and lodged a complaint.

After the case was registered, a police team started an operation to arrest the accused. By using information technology, in the space of 8 hours, the remote hilly area from Baishari. Salim was arrested. The accused have been handed over to the Bandarban court, said the OC.
