Three additional superintendents of police were arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) has arrested three police officers in connection with the attack on the anti-discrimination student movement.

According to the police on Friday (October 18), they were arrested on Thursday evening with the permission of the Ministry of Home Affairs. There is a case against them.

The arrested officers are Additional Superintendent of Police (promoted to the post of Supernumerary Police Superintendent) Shahen Shah, Additional Superintendent of Police (promoted to the post of Supernumerary Police Superintendent) Jewel Rana and Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Rafiqul Islam.

According to sources, on October 17, an order issued by the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs allowed the arrest of four police officers. Among them are these three Additional Superintendents of Police except the Additional Superintendent of Police (promoted to the post of Supernumerary Superintendent of Police) Hasan Arafat.
