60 voluntary organizations have been honored in recognition of their special contribution in the service of humanity by standing by the people during the terrible flood of Feni.

The combined platform of voluntary organizations of Feni gave this honor in the discussion meeting organized on the occasion of Blood Donation Day at the District Art Academy Auditorium on Shaheed Shahidullah Kaiser Road in Feni city on Saturday morning.
Volunteer family member Osman Gani Russell presided over the function, Feni District Commissioner Shahina Akhtar was the chief guest. Feni Sadar upazila executive officer was the special guest. Nazmul Hasan, Feni traffic inspector Shaukat Ahmed and others.
The speakers in the meeting said that the record created by the terrible flood in Feni, the volunteers stood next to the distressed people and created another new record. Due to volunteers risking their lives to stand by the people of Feni, the flood damage was reduced to a large extent. The death toll has also been comparatively less. The people of Feni will always remember this unique role of volunteers with respect. The program was inaugurated by voluntary blood donation at the beginning of the program.
