Entertainment Desk: A notification was issued last September 15 to reconstitute the 'jury board' to recommend the names of the award recipients for awarding the National Film Award-2023. A month and a half after the issuance of that notification, the reconstituted 'jury board' has been revised and the notification has been issued. Four new members were included in the jury board. They are - eighties actress Sucharita, nineties actor Khawaja Naeem Murad, composer and music director Maqsud Jamil Mintu and film director Saidur Rahman Sayeed.

This information was informed in a notification of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Monday (October 4).

The ex-officio chairman of the jury is Additional Secretary (Films) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He is the member secretary of the Bangladesh Film Certification Board, vice chairman of the Bangladesh Film Censor Board, the director general of the Bangladesh Film Archive, the head of the department of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Cinematographer Barkat Hossain, singer Nazmun Munira Nancy, Dhaka University Television, Film and Photography Department president SM Imran Hossain, managing director of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation and journalist Wahid Sujan are also on the jury board.

The jury board will recommend the names of films, artistes and crews for the 2023 film monitoring awards, according to the mandate of the reconstituted jury board in a notification by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
