A US expatriate has gone missing while out with friends. His name is Sharif Mohammad Masudul Alam Sujan (50). He went missing from Gulshan-2 area of ​​the capital on Wednesday night. A general diary (GD) has been filed in the police station in this incident.

According to GD, Sujan left his house in North Maniknagar of Mugda area on Wednesday evening. Later, he went to Safe's Table restaurant in Gulshan area with his friends. At one point, Sujan went out of the restaurant alone, saying that he was going to pray. But after a long wait he did not return. Later his mobile phone was found switched off.

Sujan's elder brother Naeemul Alam told Jugantar in a tearful voice on Thursday night that Sujan has not returned home yet. Everyone in the family is terrified. Even though GD has been done in this incident, there is still no progress from the police side.

He said, Sujan has been living in the United States for a long time. He is a citizen of that country. Sujan's family also lives in the United States. However, he divorced his wife living there 4 years ago. On October 26, he came to Bangladesh using a US passport. He recently returned home and got married. He is scheduled to return on November 9. But as he has not returned yet, his departure to the United States is uncertain.

The family members said that once before, Sujan had spoken about the insecurity of his life when he returned to the country. Then a police officer relative of the ex-wife threatened to pick her up. But later there was no more exaggeration. However, it is not understood whether there are traces of the previous incident behind his disappearance this time.

When Gulshan police station was contacted about the incident, the police said that the matter is being investigated seriously. Metropolitan Detective Police DB has already started working on this matter. Initially, the search is on based on the call list of missing Sujan's mobile phone.
