Professor Abul Kasem Fazlul Haque, President of Bangla Academy, said that our liberation war is an important event in our national life. But talking about 3 million martyrs is correct? No one has calculated it. It is a distortion of history. As a result, nothing good happens in the life of the nation. If a falsehood is established in one place, it will influence other falsehoods in many other places.

He said these things in the president's speech at the discussion meeting on 'Islam's distinctiveness' organized in the auditorium of Bangla Academy on Friday.

The president of Bangla Academy said that there has always been conflict between Hindus and Muslims in India. Even with that conflict, people coexisted peacefully. But after the anti-partition movement of Bengal, the conflict between Hindus and Muslims gradually increased. Once there were so many riots, I heard that at least 1 crore people were killed.

Abul Qasem Fazlul Haque said, Muhammad (pbuh) made a charter of Medina for peaceful coexistence in Medina. Today the Sanad of Madinah may seem like a trivial matter. However, the Sanad of Madinah was a great achievement in terms of people's education at that time. From this there is an opportunity to improve the politics of Bangladesh through education.
