Jumbangla Desk: Jasim Uddin Masum (62), a businessman of Narayanganj, admitted the responsibility of murdering Ruma Akhtar (28) and his associate girlfriend Roksana alias Ruku (26) and gave a statement under section 164 in the court.

Ruma Akhter, who gave a statement in the court, is the daughter of Nazar Ali of Tatrakanda village of Gauripur police station in Mymensingh. His girlfriend Roksana alias Ruku is the daughter of deceased Abdul Haque of Kanikshalgaon village under Ruhia police station of Thakurgaon. The two who gave a statement are Dr. Sheorapara area. In the deposition, Ruma mentioned that Jasim Uddin created a relationship saying that he would marry her. Then he rented a flat in Sheorapara area of ​​Kafrul and kept him. Jasim used to pay him a certain amount of money every month. But for some time, Ruma came to know that Jasim was in a relationship with another woman. Ruma gets angry at not marrying him and having an affair with another woman. Out of anger, Jasim planned to kill Uddin. After the murder, his girlfriend Roksana Ruku helped him disappear the body.

Ruku said in her deposition that she knew about Ruma's relationship with Jasim. After killing Jasim, Ruma informed him about the matter and sought help for the missing body. He then helps him in hiding the body.

The investigating officer of the case, Sub-Inspector (SI) Roknuzzaman of Rupganj Police Station said that the accused have given a confessional statement in the court. The matter is very sensitive. Much more remains to be known.

Superintendent of Police of Narayanganj Pratyush Kumar Majumder said that industrialist Masum had an illicit love affair with Ruma. Based on this relationship, on Sunday (November 10) at Ruma's rented house in Sheorapara, Masum was first made unconscious by taking anesthetic with milk. was later killed. After that, Ruma cut the body into pieces with chapati and hack blade and dumped it in different places along with Pathao's car.

Incidentally, on Wednesday (November 23), the police recovered the dismembered body of industrialist Jasim Uddin Masum in a black polythene bag on the bank of a lake in Purbachal Sector 5. He is the owner of Chand Dyeing in Fatulla.
