Jumbangla Desk: The Directorate of Passports and Immigration has suspended the passport application of former Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Shireen Sharmin Chowdhury and her husband Syed Ishtiaq Hossain.

On November 5, a news was published about Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury's passport application under special privileges. According to that news, Shireen Sharmin's fingerprints, photos and eye irises were taken under special management despite being accused in the murder case. It is alleged that many leaders who are accused in several cases have been given passports with unethical facilities even though they could not go to the passport office to complete the formalities.
