Jumbangla Desk: Bangladesh women's national football team has been welcomed by sports friendly company Walton Hitech Industries, plc. At this time, Walton gave fridges to 32 people including football team members, coaching staff and support staff.
The reception was held at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BAFFE) building in Motijheel on Sunday (November 17) afternoon.
Sabina Khatun-Sanjida Akhtar was felicitated after winning the SAFF Championship trophy for the second time after defeating Nepal.
Along with the football team, Buff Executive Committee Member and Women's Wing Chairman Mahfuza Akhter Kiran, Women's Team Coach Peter Butler, Walton Hitech Industries Plc Senior Executive Director and Advisor (Sports) F.M. Iqbal Bin Anwar (Don) and Rabiul Islam Milton, Additional Executive Director of Walton.
Thanking Walton, BAFF executive committee member Kiran said, 'Even when the girls were doing well in their age level, Walton was by our side, encouraging the girls, giving reception. No matter how big or small, Walton was always there for us. Thanks to Walton for this. I hope Walton will be by my side in the coming days as well.'
Sabina Khatun, the captain of the champion team, said that she has had Walton by her side since the beginning and she hopes that this trend will continue in the days to come.
'I want to thank Walton first. Federation's relationship with Walton is very old. Walton has always been on the side of girls' soccer, even when I started. Of course I think it inspires girls. It acts as a motivation for girls when we bring success when everyone encourages. Increases the interest to work,' he added.
