According to police sources , he was arrested from the staff quarters area under Demra police station around 2 am on Monday. DMP's Demra Zone Assistant Police Commissioner Nasim Uddin confirmed the matter .
How does the incident begin?
Based on the case filed at Demra Police Station, it is known that Nobel met the woman through social media in 2018. They would occasionally talk on the phone. Then on November 12, 2023, they met in Mohammadpur in the capital. Then Nobel took her home, saying he would show her the studio at his Demra residence .
Accused of rape while being held
After taking her home, she was detained with the help of Nobel and 2/3 other people . The complaint states that Nobel, while intoxicated, broke her mobile phone, beat her, and recorded a video of her rape. Later, she was detained at her home for seven months, until May 19, 2025, after threatening to spread the video on social media.
Rescued by calling 999
When a video of a portion of the incident went viral on social media, the victim's family was able to recognize him after watching the video . After calling the national emergency service 999, Demra police rescued him around 9:30 pm on Monday .
Progress of the case and investigation
Demra Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahmudur Rahman said that a case of torture and rape of a woman has been filed based on the complaint of the victim. As part of the investigation, Nobel was arrested with the help of CCTV footage and technology from the scene . He has been sent to court.

This is not the first time. Nobel was arrested on charges of fraud in 2023 as well . A fraud case was filed against him after he failed to show up for an event despite receiving advance payment.
