10 bands from the country to perform at Nazrul Concert on May 30

The songs of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam

have always inspired movements and struggles.

Recently, during the uprising of students and the masses in the country, Nazrul's songs and poems inspired the protesters. Now, the Kabi Nazrul Institute has taken the initiative to release an album with 10 inspiring songs of the rebellious poet.

A concert has also been organized on May 30 to mark the release of the album. The concert, to be held at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital, will feature 10 bands from the country.

The bands that will participate

in the album to be released are - 'Souls', 'Dalchut', 'Warphase', 'Ark', 'Shironamhin', 'MNB', 'Rebel', 'Black', 'F Minor' and 'Different Touch'. The concert organized on the occasion of the album release will be free of charge for everyone.

In this context, Latiful Islam Shibli, Executive Director of the Nazrul Institute, told the media, "This album and concert were on my agenda after taking charge. It also finds an important place in the Ministry of Cultural Affairs' Priority 7 program."

"We are moving towards a country without discrimination through the sacrifices of students and the public. Nazrul's songs have served as an inspiration. That's why we took the album as a responsibility."

He further said, "In the last few months, after discussing with all the big bands of the country, I assigned 10 bands to record Nazrul's inspiring songs. The album will be released on May 30, and this concert is on that occasion."

The album includes the songs of Kazi Nazrul Islam,

' Tora Sab Joydhwani Kar ', 'Jago Onsan-Bandi', 'Karaar Oi Louh-Kabat', 'Ai Shikal-Para Chhol', 'Durgam Giri, Kantar-Maru', 'Bajiche Damama Bandhere Amama', 'Pardeshi Megh', 'Joy Hok Joy Hok', 'O Bhai Khattu Sonar Che Che Khattu' and 'Mora Janjhar Note Uddam'. Each song of the album will be published on the institute's website and social media platforms.

Latiful Islam said, 'The purpose of making

the album is that if any band wants to cover these songs in the future, the songs will serve as a reference. Because, every song is being done correctly. We have fixed everything starting from the lyrics. Nazrul Sangeet Pandit Yakub Ali Khan is the mentor of the entire project.'

According to sources at the Kabi Nazrul Institute, Cultural Affairs Advisor Mostafa Sarwar Farooqui will inaugurate the concert on May 30. The concert will start at 5 pm.
