According to the latest notification from Bajus, the price of a 22-carat gold bar is now Tk 1,69,921 . In addition, the price of gold according to other carats is:
21 carats : 1,62,200 taka per bhori
18 carats : 1,39,023 taka per baht
Traditional gold : 1,14,949 taka per bhori
Per bhori means 11.664 grams.
Silver price unchanged
While the price of gold has increased, the price of silver has remained the same. The price of silver on May 25, 2025 is:
22 carat silver : 2,811 taka per baht
21 carat silver : 2,683 taka per baht
18 carat silver : 2,298 taka per baht
Traditional silver : 1,726 taka per bhori
Additional costs: VAT and wages
Bajus says that the government-set 5% VAT and Bajus's minimum wage of 6% must be added to the selling price of gold. However, the amount of wage may vary depending on the design and quality of the jewelry.
