of the principal of Amtali Islamia Kamil Madrasa, which is run under the Islamic Arabic University.

The madrasa was founded in 1923 by the late Pir Saheb Allama Abdul Latif (RAH) of Amtoli in Morelganj Upazila of Bagerhat, South Bengal, inhabited by the Sundarbans.

The investigation by Sarjamin has found serious allegations of embezzlement, extortion and bribery against the madrasa principal, Maulana Muha: Bayezid Hossain. Evidence has also been found of various allegations, including grouping of students and teachers, and suppression and oppression of teachers and staff by a trained terrorist force.

It is learned that he was appointed as the

principal of Amtoli Islamia Kamil Madrasa during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. It is alleged that he used the political influence of the Awami League to smooth the path for the principal's appointment by managing the appointment board with a preferred representative.

As soon as he took charge as the principal, he withdrew money from all the bank accounts in the name of the madrasa and distributed it. Those concerned believe that an impartial and objective audit will reveal the opacity of his financial transactions.

Shortly after his appointment,

he built quarters for himself with the government funds allocated for the madrasa and the income from the land. There have been many complaints of financial opacity in the construction costs. According to the instructions of the madrasa governing body, the principal was supposed to stay at the madrasa regularly after the construction of the quarters, but he stayed at his house in Narail for 2/3 days a week. As a result, the madrasa is mostly empty of guardians.

Muha: After Bayezid Hossain took charge as the principal, he formally closed the century-old traditional Lillah boarding of Amtoli Madrasa. Currently, there is no provision of free food for helpless, poor students in Amtoli Madrasa. In addition, the principal, his wife, his daughter and his sister-in-law's son regularly eat the food allocated for Lillah boarding. Although he receives house rent along with his salary from the government, he does not pay any rent for the villa built for the principal with the madrasa's money. He does not pay the electricity bill, even the internet bill. It has been alleged that his daughter participated in the entrance exam from another madrasa this year, but has regularly attended classes at Amtoli Madrasa and received various benefits.

Principal Muha: Bayezid Hossain has been accused

of embezzling money from the Madrasa fund to organize the Madrasa's centenary celebrations. Without the resolution of the Madrasa's Managing Committee and the approval of the President, the Principal opened a bank account at the Sharankhola branch of Islami Bank through his own pocket committee. Account name: Centenary Celebration Committee. Account number: 20503740201698916. Using the said bank account, he collected donations from various people to celebrate the Madrasa's centenary celebrations.
