Graduation parade held for new sailors of the Navy's A-2025 batch

The bootcamp training of 463 new sailors of the Bangladesh

Navy's A-2025 batch concluded with a colorful graduation parade.


On this occasion, Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. M Sakhawat Hossain, Advisor to the Ministry of Shipping and Labor and Employment, was present as the chief guest at the fascinating parade held at the Banouja Sher-e-Bangla Parade Ground in Patuakhali today, inspecting the parade and taking the salute.


Later, he distributed awards among the young sailors who achieved outstanding results.

Among the new sailors of the Navy's A-2025 batch, Md. Ghalib Al Mahdi Arnab achieved the highest excellence in professional and all subjects and received the 'Navy Chief's Medal' as the best sailor.


Md. Hasib Hossain won the 'Kamkhul Padak

' by securing second place and Md. Naeem Gazi won the 'Sher-e-Bangla Padak' by securing third place.

In his address to the new sailors, the chief guest gratefully recalled the supreme sacrifice of all the fearless freedom fighters and naval commandos who participated in the war of independence. He also remembered the martyrs and injured in the July Uprising, whose sacrifices have uplifted the spirit of independence and democratic progress of the country. He called on all naval personnel, including the new sailors, to be resolute in protecting the sovereignty of the motherland. He praised the genuine patriotism, relentless efforts and professional excellence of all naval personnel in the progress of the three-dimensional navy.


He expressed his opinion that these young sailors will play a leading role in protecting the vast maritime borders of Bangladesh as well as building a strong Bangladesh. He expressed his hope that by receiving this continuous training from the Navy, they will acquire professional skills and excellence in the future. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Navy for its recent engagement in providing assistance to the civil administration to maintain the law and order situation in the country, ensure the overall security of people's lives and property, and important government installations under the In-Aid-to-Civil Power.


The chief guest extended his warmest greetings

and congratulations to the new sailors on their entry as proud sailors of the Bangladesh Navy through today's parade.

He called for the Navy to be more glorified in the world by dedicating itself to the great responsibility of protecting the country's independence and sovereignty.


The PSOs of the Navy Headquarters, high-ranking military and civilian officials, dignitaries from Patuakhali, Barisal and Khulna regions, and guardians of the new sailors were present at the delightful parade.
