The price of gold has increased in the country's market

The Bangladesh Jewelers Association

(BAJUS) announced the increase in gold prices in a press release on Thursday night.

This price will be effective from Friday.

The notification said that the price of pure gold has increased in the local market. In this situation, a meeting of the BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring was held on Thursday. The price was increased unanimously by taking the overall situation into consideration in the meeting. This price will be effective from Friday.

The notification further states that

the price of good quality, i.e. 22-carat hallmarked gold per gram has increased by 14,775 taka, the price of 21-carat hallmarked gold per gram has increased by 14,103 taka, and the price of 18-carat hallmarked gold per gram has increased by 12,088 taka.

Ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, the gold market in Dubai has seen a slight uptick. The prices of all types of gold increased as soon as the market opened on Thursday morning.

The price of 24-carat gold

has increased to 406 dirhams per gram, up from 404.5 dirhams on Wednesday, Khaleej Times reported.

According to data provided by Dubai Jewellery Group, gold in other carats has also seen an increase. 22-carat gold is being sold for 376 dirhams, 21-carat for 360.5 dirhams and 18-carat for 309 dirhams per gram.
