Bad news again about Neymar

Neymar Jr. has been out of the Brazil national team for almost two

years. Fans and supporters had hoped

that he would be seen in a Selecao jersey again in the next FIFA window in September. However, Neymar fans have been hit with that hope again. The Brazilian star has suffered a new thigh injury, which has put his chances of returning to the national team in jeopardy for the time being.

Neymar

Neymar last played for Brazil in October 2023. He was called up twice after that, but was ruled out due to injury. The Santos forward was a strong possibility of returning to coach Carlo Ancelotti's squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia.

However, just before the team was announced, Neymar felt pain in his thigh during practice. Tests revealed a new injury.

Santos club said his thigh was swollen and treatment had begun. The matter has already been reported to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

Neymar was in a position to return

to the national team after recovering from injury and playing the full 90 minutes in seven consecutive matches for Santos. But Brazilian media claimed that Ancelotti was somewhat hesitant about him from the beginning.

If all goes well, Neymar will return to Santos' camp on August 31. On the other hand, Brazil will play World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia on September 5 and 10, respectively.
