Jumbangla Desk: Five charges have been filed in the International Criminal Tribunal against 228 people including Sheikh Hasina on charges of murder, genocide and torture during the anti-discrimination movement.
Prosecutor of the tribunal Gazi Monawar Hussain (MH) Tamim confirmed the matter to reporters.
He said that the first complaint has been filed against Sheikh Hasina and 65 accused in the shooting of college students Shaheed Nur Alam Siddiqui Rakib and Shaheed Zubair on the Mymensingh-Kishorganj highway on the morning of July 20. Rakib's father Abdul Halim and Zubair's father Anwar Uddin filed the complaint.
The second complaint was in front of Badda Brak University on the evening of 19th July. A complaint was filed accusing 28 people including Sheikh Hasina of killing Maruf Hossain (19) by the police. The complaint was filed by his father Mohammad Idris.
The third complaint was filed by Sheikh Hasina along with unknown accused on the charge of shooting and killing HSC examinee Shaheed Faisal Sarkar (village house in Comilla district) in Uttara Abdullahpur area on July 19 afternoon.
The complaint was filed by the deceased's father Shafiqul Islam Sarkar.
76 people including Sheikh Hasina have been charged with the shooting death of Shaheed Mahfuzur Rahman (15), a class 10 student in the Mirpur No. 10 Roundabout area on the afternoon of July 19. The complaint was filed by Shahid Mahfuz's father Abdul Mannan.
Fifth charge: 58 people, including Sheikh Hasina, were charged with the shooting death of Shaheed Samiu Aman Noor (13), a student of class seven in Uttara (east side of Azampur footover bridge) on the afternoon of August 5. The complaint was filed by his father Mohammad Amanullah.
