Time Will Prove
They say that time will test all things—
The rise of kings, the fall of kings.
But time has shown me, ever true,
The one thing sure on earth—is you.
With every year and wrinkle deep,
You are the soul I choose to keep.
When memories fade, and voices still,
Your love remains, it always will.
Let time go on and leave its mark,
We’ve weathered storms, endured the dark.
And when we’re old and hands grow weak,
My heart will still know how to speak.
I’ll whisper, “Love, you’ve always been,”
And time will nod and smile within.
For nothing else I’ve known or done
Outshines the love that we’ve begun.
