রাত জেগে চাঁদ নামে ধীরে ধীরে,
ছায়ারা সব গলে যায় নদীর ঘরে।
একটু আলো, একটু স্বপ্ন—
মিশে থাকে কুয়াশার ভেজা চাদরে।
একটা শব্দ হারিয়ে গেছে কাল,
তার খোঁজে পায়ে পায়ে হাঁটে বাতাস।
পাতার ফাঁকে যে নীলতাটা ছিল,
সেটাও আজ শুধুই এক নিঃশ্বাস।
পাহাড়ের কাছে জমা আছে কিছু ব্যথা,
তাকে ছুঁয়ে দুলে ওঠে জলরেখা।
নদী বলে—"আমি জানি না গন্তব্য,
তবুও চলি, একটানা, নিরবধি দেখা।"
নক্ষত্রেরা মুখ ঘুরিয়ে নেয় মাঝে মাঝে,
মানুষ ভাবে, তারা চায় না কথা বলতে।
আসলে তারা শোনে গভীর মন দিয়ে,
আমরা কাঁদি কিনা, হাসি কিনা—সেটা গোপনে লেখে।
একটা কবিতা জন্মায় চুপিচুপি,
যখন কেউ তাকায় না, কেউ শোনে না।
সে ডানা মেলে নিঃশব্দের নদীতে,
জল হয়ে গলে, হয়ে ওঠে নিজস্ব সোনা।
