Jumbangla Desk: In Brahmanbaria, the car of Islamic speaker Ghiyas Uddin Taheri was attacked and vandalized. Taheri himself said in a video message on social media that the attack took place in TA Road area of ​​the district city on Monday afternoon.

It is known that a human chain of the district Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat was organized in front of Brahmanbaria Press Club at 5 pm on Monday. However, the leaders of the organization canceled this program due to security reasons. On the other hand, opposing his entry into the city, an organization called Sammilita Qoumi Prajanm Brahmanbaria staged a counter stand program in front of the press club.

On this day, Giyas Uddin Taheri was traveling in a car to meet the District Commissioner on his way to Kawtali, when he reached TA Road area, a group of madrasa students attacked his car. Several people in the car including Taheri were injured. Angry students of the madrasa tried to get Taheri out of the car. Later Taheri and his people quickly left the place with the car.

Taheri said, we organized a human chain to protest against the taunting of the Holy Prophet (S). However, many have given threats to the administration including social media to stop the human chain.

Ghiyas Uddin Taheri also demanded that the attackers be identified and brought under the law by analyzing the CCTV footage.

Regarding the incident, Kazi Saifur Rahman Munna, coordinator of the combined Qaumi generation, said that they came even though the administration did not give permission. Madrasah students and Tawhidi crowd wanted to say, you better leave. A scuffle took place in Fakirapool over this.

In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station Mozaffar Hossain said that Ghiyas Uddin Taheri was attacked, I saw a video message on Facebook. Moreover, he informed about the attack through mobile phone. However, no written complaint has come from his side yet.
