Jumbangla Desk: Continuous rains and upstream water in India are increasing the water in the northern rivers. As a result, the lower areas of Rangpur, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Gaibandha and Sirajganj have been flooded. About 26 thousand people are trapped in water. Many have left their homes and gone to safe havens with their families. Chairman of As-Sunnah Foundation Sheikh Ahmadullah has announced to stand by these flood victims.

He made a post regarding this on his verified Facebook page on Monday (September 30) night.

Shaikh Ahmadullah wrote, 'As-Sunnah Foundation's relief activities are going to start in the flood-affected areas of North Bengal, Insha'Allah. But for now we are not taking any financial assistance in this fund . If necessary, announcement will be made in the future.'


In the first comment of that post, he wrote, 'After the relief operation in Noakhali, Comilla region, now the rehabilitation operation is going on. In the places where our team is doing rehabilitation work - 43 teams in 43 unions of 6 upazilas of Feni, 52 teams in 67 unions of 8 upazilas of Noakhali, 19 teams in 18 unions of 2 upazilas of Lakshipur, 31 teams in 31 unions of 4 upazilas of Comilla, a total of 145 teams.
