Earlier, Zakir Naik visited the country on the invitation of Pakistan government last Monday. He will speak at several events on religion in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore, Pakistan.

Express Tribune reported that Zakir Naik has come to Pakistan with a plan to stay for about a month. His son Fariq Naik, himself an Islamic scholar, accompanied Zakir on the trip. Some members of his team Team Zakir Naik have also come to Pakistan.

Tight security was imposed at the New Islamabad airport on his arrival. Pakistan Prime Minister's Youth Program Chairman Rana Masood, additional secretary of the country's Ministry of Religion Syed Ata-ur-Rehman and some high-ranking bureaucrats were present at the New Islamabad airport to welcome him.

Pakistani government officials said that Zakir will meet with several high-ranking officials of Pakistan during this one-month visit. Also attend some religious events in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore.
