Jumbangla Desk: Former Chief Secretary of Prime Minister's Office and former Chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Najibur Rahman has been arrested.

Dhaka Metropolitan Detective (DB) Police arrested him from Dhaka on Sunday night.

Dhaka Metropolitan Detective (DB) Police chief Rezaul Karim Mallick confirmed the matter.

The DB chief said that Najibur Rahman, former chief secretary of the prime minister's office and former chairman of NBR, has been arrested. He will be produced in court on Monday in a murder case. He will be remanded for 10 days for questioning.

Najibur Rahman was appointed as the Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and Secretary of the Internal Resources Department in 2015. Then on 31 December 2017, he was appointed as the new Chief Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office.
