Jumbangla Desk: If the people of the country considered Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as the 'Father of the Nation' then the revolutionary students would not have demolished his statue on August 5.

He said that Sheikh Mujib is not the father of the nation, Awami is one of the symbolic means of establishing fascism.

He said this in a post on his Facebook account on Wednesday (October 16).

Sports adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan said that the people of a country will decide who will be the father of the nation, not any fascist political party.

In response to the question whether this government considers Bangabandhu as the father of the nation, he said, 'Of course not'.

Then we will not have any father of the nation - he said, many people have contributed in the history of our struggle for this land. But our history did not start only in 52, we have anti-British struggle, 47 and 71 struggle, 90 and 24. We have many founding fathers. We got freedom as a result of their struggle.
