Jumbangla Desk: The trial of the genocide case of last July-August during the anti-discrimination student movement is starting from Thursday (October 17) at the International Criminal Tribunal. As part of this, the prosecution of the tribunal will seek an arrest warrant against 50 people including Sheikh Hasina in connection with the massacre. Along with this, the arrest of the top leaders of Awami League in various cases will also be shown in the tribunal.

Earlier, on October 13, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal, Advocate Tajul Islam, informed that Interpol's assistance would be taken to bring back the fugitives including Sheikh Hasina.


On that day, he told the media that if the judge is appointed, he will file an application seeking an arrest warrant against the accused of the July massacre, as well as a ban on leaving the country.
