Attempting to enter India illegally, 6 Bangladeshis detained at the border

At that time, BGB seized 4 mobile phones, 8 thousand taka in cash and 10 annas of gold ornaments from the detainees.

The arrested are Ganesh Roy (43), son of Dhirendranath Roy of Dabri Jineswari village under Birganj upazila of Dinajpur district, Ganesh Roy's wife Babita Roy (36), their son Sukhana Roy (10), Devendra Roy (22) son of Bhutt Roy of Mahanpur village, Foni of Jatmukundupar village. Rayo's son Jayant Roy (19) and Ripon Roy (19) son of Rajendranath Roy of Mahanpur village.


According to BGB, the BGB members conducted the operation based on secret information that some Bangladeshis were illegally entering India through a place called Doalpara inside Bangladesh, approximately 30 yards from Ghagra BOP border pillar 749/20-S of Sadar Upazila of Panchagarh. Later, a total of 6 Bangladeshi Hindus, including 4 men, 1 woman and a child, were detained while illegally entering India. Later, a case was filed against them and handed over to Panchagarh Sadar Police Station.

During the interrogation, the detainees said that they came to the border area through the broker circle in exchange of 1 lakh rupees to the broker circle of Dinajpur district for the purpose of infiltrating into India.
