Jumbangla Desk: The anti-discrimination student movement has demanded that Chhatra League be banned as a terrorist organization for the crime of killing and torturing students.

They made this demand at a protest rally at Chittagong Press Club on Saturday (October 19) around 3 pm.

At that time, the students from the rally announced to besiege the Chittagong City Police (CMP) office.

Earlier on Friday midnight in Jamalkhan of Chittagong, students called this demonstration to protest against the Chhatra League's march in support of the fallen dictatorship.

From Saturday's protest, slogans like 'Amar bhai kabare, khuni khuni bharte', 'Khuni Hasina's agents, watch out', 'tools of liberation war, let them roar again', 'tools of the 1970s, let them roar again' are being chanted.

Khan Talat Mahmud Rafi, coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, who participated in the protest, said, "Those who fired at us in the July uprising, killed our brothers and sisters." You fired indiscriminately. We see them still roaming freely. As a result we have seen them raising slogans in favor of the murderer Hasina in the High Court. In the dark of the night, the Chhatra League raised slogans for the murderer Hasina.

He further said, "They thought we had gone to sleep, they did not understand that we had given them a chance to come out of the hole." We want to make it clear. Those who are still on the side of the murderous Hasina, on the side of the dictatorship, those who are involved in the July massacre - they are somehow involved in terrorist activities.

Mahmud Rafi said, 'We want to quickly find them and break the venom. Our appeal to the administration will be to quickly arrest those who are terrorists, directly involved in the July coup attack and give appropriate punishment.

Earlier, ignoring the rain, the students continued to assemble at the Press Club premises from 3 pm in a piecemeal procession. Around 4 pm, the gathering spread beyond the Press Club premises to Jamal Khan. Many women students also participated in the protest.
