Students in Chabi dining management, will get quality food

Jumbangla Desk: In order to increase the quality of food, Chittagong University (CHB) Suhrawardy Hall has started a dining program under the management of students. Students are expected to be able to serve quality food at affordable prices under their own supervision.

On Friday (October 25) after Friday prayers, Vice-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr. Shamim Uddin Khan inaugurated the program.

The demand to increase the quality of food in Chabir halls has been long. Recently new officials have been appointed in the university and hall administration and this initiative has been taken to manage the students.


This program has been started in Suhrawardy Hall on an experimental basis. If the quality of food in this hall increases, the responsibility of other halls of Chabi will be handed over to the students.


Suhrawardy Hall Provost Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan said that all the responsibility of dining food has been given to the students. For this, a committee of 11 members has been formed from among the students. Two resident teachers are in this committee as conveners.


During the opening of the program, Professor Dr. Proctor. Tanveer Mohammad Haider Arif, Provost Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan along with assistant proctor and resident teachers were present.
