International Desk: After the Israeli attack, the Iranian army says that at least two of its soldiers were killed in this attack on Friday. The country's state media reported this news to the BBC.

Iran's state news agency IRNA quoted a statement from the army as saying: "The Islamic Republic of Iran's army has sacrificed two of its fighters to protect Iran's security and protect the people and interests of Iran, while countering missiles from the criminal Zionist regime."

Before this, Israel attacked Iran late on Friday night. Israeli media claimed that hundreds of warplanes flew nearly 2,000 kilometers and took part in the attack. Following the incident, Iran's Air Defense said in a statement on Saturday that Israel launched early morning strikes on some military installations in Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam provinces to heighten tensions. Iran's air defense system intercepted the attack and successfully countered the attack. However, some areas suffered limited damage. The statement also appealed to the people to remain united and calm.

Later, Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency reported a source saying that no Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) military center has been attacked in Tehran so far. The sources claimed that no IRGC military centers west and south of the Iranian capital were targeted. However, some residents reported hearing explosions west of Tehran.

US-UK calls on Tehran not to attack Israel

After the news of this attack came out, the authorities temporarily closed all the airports in Iran. Later, however, the country normalized the flight.
