International Desk: South Africa has officially recognized Muslim marriage. The government of the country fulfilled this demand by respecting the Muslims.
Home affairs minister of the government on Friday. Leon Schreiber officially recognizes Muslim marriages. It will be published in gazette form very soon.
Minister Dr. Leon Schreiber said in an audio message, 'Nikah registration of 33 Muslim couples was officially done on Friday. He himself felt proud to be the first Muslim Nikah registered by Home Affairs in the history of South Africa.'
He said, 'Muslims have contributed tremendously to the history of South Africa for more than 350 years. It should have been earlier though; It came a few hundred years later. It is a personal honor for me to preside over the issue of marriage certificates recognizing Muslim marriages as Minister. This is a landmark decision by the government for Muslims in South Africa.'
