Jumbangla Desk: On Wednesday (October 30), the main stock market of the country, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), another market, saw a big rise in the index on the fourth working day of the week.

Half an hour after the start of trading on Wednesday, i.e. at 10:30 am, the general index of DSE DSEX increased by 76 points from the previous day and stood at 5 thousand 93 points. DSE Shariah index rose 12 points and DSE-30 index rose 31 points to 1126 and 1889 points respectively. Shares and mutual fund units worth Tk 84 crore 44 lakh have been traded during this period.
Among the companies traded during this time on Wednesday, 312 rose, 21 fell and 30 remained unchanged.
The top 10 companies traded till 10:30 am are BSC, BRAC Bank, Acme Limited, Eastern Housing, Islami Bank, BATBC, Khan Brothers, Robi, Far East Knitting and Orion Infusion.
Earlier today, the DSEX index rose by 30 points in the first 5 minutes of trading. At 10:10 AM, the index rose by 5 points from its previous position. After that the speed of the index is seen upward . 20 minutes after the start of trading i.e. at 10:20 am, the index increased by 51 points from the previous day and stood at 5 thousand 69 points.
On the other hand, half an hour after the start of trading, i.e. at 10:30 am, CASPI index of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) increased by 21 points and stood at 14 thousand 39 points. After that the speed of the index is seen upward.
Till 10:30 am today, 28 lakh shares and mutual fund units were traded in CSE. During this period, the price of 22 companies increased, 14 decreased and 5 companies remained unchanged.
