Police have arrested Asim Kumar, Personal Assistant (APS) of former MP Shahadara Mannan of Bogra-1 (Sariakandi-Sonatala) Constituency. He was arrested from Balasi area of ​​Phulchari Upazila in Gaibandha on Friday (November 1) night.

Arrested Asim Kumar accused of five cases including student killing and BNP office vandalism and arson during anti-discrimination movement in Bogra district.

According to police sources, Asim Kumar was hiding in different places for a long time. The police were looking to arrest him. Finally, a smart team of Gaibandha District Police conducted a special operation with the help of information technology and arrested him from Balasi area of ​​Phulchari.

In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gaibandha Sadar Police Station Shahinur Islam Talukder said, Bogra police was conducting extensive activities to arrest Asim Kumar. When they informed the location of Asim Kumar with the help of information technology, the police of Gaibandha Sadar police station arrested him. He will be handed over to Bogra police.
