Students say that the demand for establishment of independent university has arisen due to various crises. But so far those crises have not ended. And it is not possible to overcome these crises without establishing a separate university. That is why the new program will be announced tomorrow Saturday (November 2) outlining the next outline of the movement.
On Friday (November 1), the focal person of Seven College University Transformation Team Abdur Rahman gave this information.
He said, yesterday we had a discussion with the Education Advisor and the Youth and Sports Advisor. They have proposed to run the program in a separate administrative building somewhere outside Dhaka University. But we want independent university. So no decision was reached in that discussion.
This student representative also said, tomorrow morning we will discuss with the students of seven colleges and decide the next activities. After that, the details of the movement will be presented in the press conference.
On the other hand, on Thursday (October 31), Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said that a place will be fixed in Dhaka University for the administrative work of seven college students.
He said, youth and sports adviser, education adviser and representatives of seven colleges spoke. It has been decided that a place will be fixed in Dhaka University. Where the administrative work of seven colleges can be done. Their matter will be dealt with separately. They will have separate registrars. The whole matter will be discussed with Dhaka University and University Grand Commission and a decision will be reached.
DU calls for solving the problem through discussion
DU authorities have given a statement regarding the meeting of advisory council related to seven government colleges. In a statement published by the public relations department of the institution on Friday (November 1), it is said that the attention of the university authorities has been drawn to a report published in various media citing the meeting of the advisory council yesterday (October 31) regarding seven government colleges affiliated to Dhaka University. According to the report, according to the decision of the advisory council meeting, there will be a completely separate administrative system in Dhaka University for the maintenance of seven government colleges, where there will be a separate registrar and other officials. However, these colleges will remain affiliated to Dhaka University.
In fact, the Dhaka University authorities have come to know about this decision of the Advisory Council from the reports published in various media. The ministry has not had any formal discussions with Dhaka University authorities regarding this proposal. After learning about the matter, the university authorities immediately discussed with the concerned advisors and various high levels of the government with utmost importance.
It is also said that the government has also responded with sincerity considering the public importance of the matter. The government has agreed to hold an emergency meeting in this regard at the earliest (possible date is next Sunday) at the ministry level with the main stakeholders including the concerned students.

For a peaceful solution, the statement said, students of seven government colleges have been demanding the establishment of an independent university. And the students of Dhaka University have also been demanding the cancellation of the affiliation of seven government colleges. The Dhaka University authorities feel that there is a need for more discussion on this matter with important stakeholders including government seven colleges and students of Dhaka University. A sustainable and peaceful solution can only be reached through dialogue.
