RM Salim Shahi : The local Awami League leaders and activists snatched Awladul, the chairman of Gazirkhamar Union Parishad of Sadar Upazila and general secretary of Sadar Upazila Awami League, after he was arrested by RAB in Sherpur today (November 6) around 4 pm. Then again after two hours around 6 pm Sherpur Sadar police station arrested the chairman from Vatshala area of ​​Dhaka-Sherpur highway. Sherpur Superintendent of Police Aminul Islam confirmed the matter.

Awladul Sadar Upazila Awami League general secretary and anti-discrimination student-janata movement accused in the murder case. RAB arrested the chairman from the UP Parishad during the hijacking incident. After the arrest, the Awami League leaders and supporters of the area surrounded the RAB from four sides with sticks and beat them. In such a situation, there is a possibility of a bloody clash between the RAB and the mob. Considering public safety, RAB left the spot. At that time, the excited leaders and activists took the chairman with the bill on the side of the council.

RAB-14 Company Commander Abdur Razzak said, I left it for the time being only because of the situation. Blood could have flowed if force had been applied.

In this regard, Sherpur Sadar police station OC Jobaid Islam said that the accused Awami League leader and UP chairman Aoladul has been detained. A search is on to find out who abducted him. Further legal action is being taken.
