BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi commented that the neighboring country India has been very unhappy with the fall of Sheikh Hasina, a terrible burning in their hearts.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a cultural program and discussion meeting held in front of the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in the capital on the occasion of the National Revolution and Solidarity Day on Thursday.
Rizvi said Sheikh Hasina had signed an agreement in Assam with Adani Group Limited, which produces electricity in India. Sheikh Hasina has left many arrears.
The current interim government is trying to reduce that arrears, has paid a lot, more is left. About 170 million dollars have been deposited by them in these three months.
He said that dues have been paid, but still they are not satisfied. They have reduced the production of electricity that they provide to Bangladesh.
Threatened that we will cut off total electricity. Why? Why is Sheikh Hasina not the prime minister? Is that why you are so angry? So angry?
Addressing India, Rizvi said, Sheikh Hasina's friendship with you, democracy killers' relationship with you. People of Bengal have no relationship with you. You are very unhappy, there is a terrible burning in your heart, that is why Sheikh Hasina is not there.
This spokesperson of BNP said that Bangladesh's relationship with India is Sheikh Hasina versus India; Bangladesh is no longer India. This relationship with the policy makers of India. Sheikh Hasina's former foreign minister said, Bangladesh's husband-wife relationship with India, how deep is this relationship? People don't matter here.
He said, from the soil of this country the Fahads of Abrar were born, the Abu Saeeds were born, the Madhadars were born. Someday you won't be able to do that.
He also said that as the people of Bengal love freedom, as the people of Bengal are committed to protecting independence and sovereignty, they are also democracy lovers. So, authoritarianism, misrule, one party misrule and running a steamroller on the people, you can never sustain your opponents.
Rizvi said that in 52, 62, 69, 71, Sheikh Hasina could not take away the blood of revolution from the youth of Bengal despite many efforts. Made many kinds of propaganda, wrote many kinds of textbooks on authoritarian misrule, wrote various books. And those who went to write the truth against Awami's misrule, those who went to speak against their misrule have been hidden. If not, he was put into the red building. In the middle of it, when the youth woke up again, what an unprecedented movement. One brother is dying, another brother is standing by his side. The police themselves said that they are not reduced. I shoot one by one, another one comes and stands.
He said, those who want to capture Bangladesh, those who want to play with our independence, those who want to attack our language and culture, should be told that Abrar is in every house of Bengal, every house is impressed, Abu Saeed is in every house of this Bengal. Born for ages. You may not know this heroism. You may not know, this Bangladesh is through the self-sacrifice of so many heroes. And you will run this country through hegemonic principles, you will dominate this country, you will never be able to.
Jasa convener actor Helal Khan, member secretary Zakir Hossain Rokon, organizing secretary Seba Shanu, cultural personality Ethun Babu, Jubo Dal leader Mehbub Masum Shanto and others were present.
