Some actions destroy good deeds

Lifestyle Desk: Oppressing, abusing, backbiting and unfairly beating people is a big sin. In the Hereafter it must be atoned for with good deeds. As a result, the scale of goodness will be lighter. There is a hadith, narrated by Ayesha (RA), a person sitting in front of the Prophet (PBUH) said, O Messenger of Allah! I have a few slaves.

amol

They lie to me, harm (betray) my wealth and disobey me. Because of this I scold and beat them. What will be my situation with them? He says, "Those who betray you, disobey you and lie to you, and you deal with them because of this - they will be reckoned with." If your punishment equals their crime, then fine.

You won't have any problem, they won't have any problem either. If your punishment is less than their crime, then there remains for you an excess (reward). And if your punishment is greater than their crime, then you must be punished for the excess. The narrator said, hearing this, the man broke away crying.

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Have you not read this in the Book of Allah Ta'ala - 'I will set up the scales of justice on the Day of Resurrection.' So no one will be oppressed. If anyone has even a small amount of work, we will also present it. And we are enough to complete the calculation.' (Surah: Ambiya, verse: 47)

The man said, O Messenger of God! By God! I see no other way to my welfare and theirs than separation between them and me.

I bear witness to you that they are all free from now on. (Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3165)

Compensation for oppression, insults, backbiting and slander in the world must be earned through good deeds in the hereafter.

The Prophet (PBUH) said, 'Do you know who is destitute? They said, O Messenger of God! The destitute among us is the person who has no cash, no wealth. Rasulullah (s.a.w.s.) said, "In my ummah, that person is destitute, who will appear on the Day of Judgment with many deeds including prayer, fasting, and zakat, and along with that he has abused someone, lied to someone, embezzled someone's wealth, and shed someone's blood." (killing), beating someone etc. will also bring crimes. He will then sit and from his good deeds this person will take something, the other person will take something. Thus, if his good deeds are exhausted before full compensation is taken, their sins will be imputed to him, then he will be cast into Hell.' (Muslim, Hadith: 2581)
