Clashes took place inside the mosque in Channapara of Sreepur Municipal area of ​​Gazipur due to the conflict between the mosque committee and the announcement of several committees before the Friday prayers.

The clash broke out between the group of Sreepur Municipal Labor Sramik Dal general secretary Enamul Haque Khokon and municipal Krishak Dal joint convener Mamun Bepari. 8 people were injured on both sides.

The incident took place on Friday at 1:35 am before Friday prayers inside the Channapara Baitul Atin Jame Masjid in Sreepur Municipal area.

Taizuddin, a regular worshiper of that mosque, said that for a long time there has been an extreme conflict between the two sides regarding the committee of this mosque. When a committee was formed a week and a half ago, the other side did not accept it.

On Friday, after the khatib's speech in Friday prayers, the president of one side of the new committee, Enamul Haque Khokon, the general secretary of Sripur Municipal Workers' Party, gave a speech seeking everyone's cooperation as the president. At that time, Mamun Bepari, the joint convener of Municipal Farmers' Party, stood up and introduced Taleb Hossain as the president and himself as the general secretary, and asked for everyone's cooperation.

At that time, the conflict between the two sides started a commotion and a fight inside the mosque.

Mamun Bepari, general secretary of one side, said that we are members of the donor family, without informing us, they have made a committee of Mangara Masjid Madrasa. We have today announced our unanimously constituted committee. He said that some people including his elder brother Humayun Bepari were injured in this clash.

The president of the other party, Enamul Haque Khokon, said that I was made the president on the last 16th by consensus. Opponents created a ruckus when I introduced myself as the president on Friday before Friday prayers. He claimed that 5 people of his party were injured in the clash and his son Anik is hospitalized with serious injuries. In this incident, both parties have given a written complaint to the police station.
