Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was pelted with liquid during a march in Delhi. The video of the incident went viral on social media.

In one such video, security personnel and Kejriwal's supporters arrest the accused and beat him up.

The incident took place in South Delhi's Malviya Nagar. During the march there, Kejriwal was walking with his supporters when a person threw liquid on him.

The accused has been detained and interrogation is on, police said.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sourav Bharadwaj blamed the BJP for the incident, saying,

Law and order has completely broken down in Delhi. The Center and the Home Minister are not fulfilling any responsibility'.

However, denying his allegations, BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapur on the contrary criticized Kejriwal's political strategy.

He said, Kejriwal has brought back his old drama. After his political strategy failed, he turned to old tricks.

In this regard, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) questioned the law and order situation in Delhi on their X handle and wrote, 'If a former chief minister is not safe in the national capital, what will happen to the common man? The law and order situation in Delhi has completely broken down under BJP rule'.

According to experts, Kejriwal's incident could further fuel political tension ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi.
