Actors and actresses get involved in politics outside of acting. Bapparaj was an exception in this regard as well. He was never associated with any political party, and this hero does not want to get involved in politics in the future either.

He believes that artists should not do politics. And if someone wants to get involved in politics, then they should retire from acting.
Bapparaj said, 'Artists should not do politics. If they have to, then they can do it by retiring from their acting career. When someone joins politics from a profession, they will try to take various opportunities. They have to flatter others; which has happened recently. Many of our artists used to take (political) opportunities. They got into trouble while taking opportunities.'

The actor said about himself,

'I have never been involved in politics, I don't do it now, and I won't do it in the future. I have attended many events. When invited, I have gone to Awami League parties, BNP parties, and taken pictures. But the police don't chase us. No one tells us, why are you doing this or why did you do that? Because, I never wanted to take chances. I have done my professional work.'

The Film Artists Association has been playing a silent role despite recent political harassment of artists. The organization has faced criticism over this.

Regarding the activities of the association,

Bapparaj said, "After some people joined, the artists' organization became a flatterer of a group. It seemed like it was working as a spokesperson for a group, not the artists. Outsiders were brought in and garlanded. We were taken and told to stand and take pictures with them. It is not the job of artists to go and take pictures next to others to achieve their interests. The situation became such that I will go for my interests, I will gain benefits - that is why all this flattery was done. This was not supposed to happen."
